Innovative and cost effective structural systems have replaced conventional bridges. Recent technological advancements have made conventional bridges obsolete. It provides passage over obstructions without closing off the path below. As part of the modern world, bridge construction has come to be considered of international importance. To maintain traffic flow, numerous new highways and flyovers have been built. Box pushing Technic is safest method of constructing RUB for crossing underground / Embankment, without disturbing overhead traffic /structures.In the last few decades, there has been an enormous increase in traffic volume on highways due to population growth and rapid urbanization. The required bearing capacity of soil is very little. After completion of the work, thrust bed can be used as a protection work in Hydraulic structures and rigid pavement work in Highway structures. To push the box into the embankment of railway, the required thrust can be generated from thrust bed by jacking. The box segment analysis part is done manually or STAAD using Moment Distribution Method and as per IRS bridge rules. The line & level of precast boxes is also controlled. The required thrust is generated through thrust bed constructed at the site. boxes in segments are casted outside and pushed through the heavy embankments of rail or road by jacking. Hence to construct under bridges through embankment without disturbing the existing railway / road traffic, we choose to construct REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE BOX UNDER BRIDGE by Box pushing Technique, where R.C.C. Intensity of traffic, both on rail & road in the present day is very heavy due to the population explosion and fast development of Industries they cannot be disturbed for construction of under bridges, drainage works, etc by conventional Cut and Cover method and RH girder method of construction system. The under bridges are also required in urban areas where the busy business location streets crosses the railway lines. Under bridges are required to be provided under earthen embankments for crossing of vehicular traffic, drainage, railway traffic across the level crossing of railway line.
